The 2015 World Series of Poker Europe has kicked off from the Spielbank Berlin casino in Berlin, Germany.

Organizers moved the series to Germany after a disappointing showing in 2013 and also decided to hold international events on a rotating two-year schedule. This is the first running of the WSOPE since 2013.

This year's series offers 10 bracelet events including a pair of events that are guaranteed to set records for attendance for the WSOP Europe.

New Events Highlight WSOPE Schedule

This year's WSOP Europe features 10 gold bracelet events with buy-ins appropriate for all bankrolls.

Two events on the schedule are guaranteed to set attendance records. Event #2, the €550 Oktoberfest event, features two start days with two starting flights each day.

Like the Colossus earlier this summer organizers hope to set an attendance record for a WSOPE event.

The other event that should set an attendance record is Event #7, €550 PL Omaha. This is the lowest buy-in for a PLO event in WSOP history and should set a WSOPE record for attendance.

Other events expected to boast solid fields include Event #4, the €1,650 Monster Stack and Event #8, the €1,100 Turbo NL with Re-Entry.

Event #9, the €10,450 Main Event is one of two televised events from this series. Adrian Mateos is the defending Champion and Phil Hellmuth took down the event in 2012.

The final event of the series is also televised. The €25,600 high roller was won by Daniel Negreanu in 2013 and drew a solid field of 80 runners.

Officials would love to see the series go out on a high note with at least 100 runners in this event and a major star take the bracelet.
